Dave Hudson spent a decade working for large contractors before he got tired of watching homeowners get shuffled between crews, handed surprise invoices, and left with work that wasn't quite right. In 2005, he started Hudson Constructions with a different idea: treat every client like a neighbor, because in Michigan, they usually are.
What started as a one-man operation doing kitchen remodels out of a pickup truck has grown into a full-service remodeling company with a tight-knit crew of skilled tradespeople. But the core hasn't changed — every project still gets Dave's personal attention, and every client still gets his cell number.
We're not the biggest contractor in the area. We're the one your neighbor recommends.
We never cut corners. Every joint, every tile, every finish is done the way we would do it in our own home.
We live here. Our kids go to school here. When we build your home, we're building our neighborhood.
No runaround, no surprise invoices. You get a straight answer and a detailed written estimate before any work begins.
We don't disappear after the last nail. We stand behind our work and come back if anything isn't right.
Founder & Owner
Dave started Hudson Constructions in 2005 after 10 years working for larger contractors. His goal was simple: build a company where every homeowner gets the same care and quality he would want for his own family.
Project Manager
Maria keeps every job on schedule and every client in the loop. With a background in construction management, she's the reason our projects finish on time and on budget.
Lead Carpenter
Tom has been swinging a hammer for 18 years. His finish carpentry work — custom trim, built-ins, cabinetry — is what sets our projects apart from the competition.
We're not a franchise. We're not a national chain. Every person on our crew lives within 30 miles of the jobs we work. We pay local taxes, shop at local suppliers, and send our kids to local schools.
That means when you hire Hudson Constructions, your money stays in the community — and so does our reputation. We can't afford to do bad work. We'll see you at the hardware store.
